Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

The SHHS varsity team competed in the Jamie Ruffner Memorial Tournament this past weekend in Bowling Green, Ohio, finishing the event with two ties, one win, and one loss.

On Friday, the Raiders opened with a 3–3 draw against eventual tournament champion Olentangy. Saturday brought a tough 7–3 loss to Villanova (Windsor, ON) after a difficult third period, but the team responded well later that day with a 3–2 victory over host Bowling Green.

In Sunday’s rematch with Bowling Green, SHHS battled back from a 0–3 deficit, scoring three unanswered goals in the third period to earn another 3–3 tie.

The team now looks ahead to a pair of league matchups this coming weekend. Go Raiders!
